You don’t have to stay anywhere forever.
— Neil Gaiman
Have you ever had those mornings where you didn’t know what to wear, thinking people would judge you? Or that time you got a haircut and was very self-conscious about it. Ever scrolled through social media and saw a hot model that you wish you were? If so, you are not alone. Over 90% of the people in this world experiences this kind of dreadful feeling on a daily basis. Whether it from insecurities or the feeling that you’re not good enough, or jealousy, these haunts most of us. It what keeps us from living a happy free life as we are chained to our emotions and thoughts.
Coming from a person that has to deal with this every time he trims his hair, I always feel like the people around me could make out the tiny details and spot that one area where the hair is a bit longer than the others. This has happens to me every time I walk outside with my new cut until I realize that no one really cares. Some even complemented my hair even though I gave a nervous thank you. Have you ever really looked at someone’s style of clothing or their appearance and cared for more than 3 seconds about it? No? That basically everyone in this world. Everyone has their own problems and stuff they gotta do which basically leaves them little to no time to care about you. Maybe there are some exceptions where people do act like douches insult you for who you are but they are really just as insecure, if not more than you.
To sum things up, be yourself. Be whatever you want to be and don’t let anyone take you down with them to their chained up minds, because at the end of the day, you’ve got one life, free yourself and fully express who you’ve always wanted to be.
